The Argentinian Parana Delta has several advantages that are not being appreciated by those who go there daily. First, in its waters only inhabitate inoffensive fish and animals. You can swim in the river without worrying about dangerous fish or animals such as eels, anacondas, crocodiles, piranhas, that those who live in other Deltas. You do not need to have special vaccines, there are no dreadfull diseases (such as malaria, sleeping sickness, etc…). Mosquito bites, are only that, a small weal that will disappear quickly. To enjoy Argentinian Delta you just need to be eager to do it so, such as you will be at any uncommon place in contact with nature without needing to extreme precautions. In approximately one hour far away from Buenos Aires City you can submerge in a World where human being can learn to live with Nature, with wild islands with virgin vegetation, lots of wild birds, fish and small animals that live in those still unpolluted waters, such as otters, hundreds of different birds, ducks, herons, geese, etc.

Location: Supiavento is in Argentinian Delta. Over the Cruz Colorada River, near the Parana de las Palmas River. You can reach the ranch by Interisleña passenger boat that leaves from Tigre Boat Station. After a boat ride of 90 minutes you reach SUPIAVENTO’S DOCK, there are severall time schedules. The house is prepared for lodging 8 people in a very comfortable way.




Accommodations: The house (it is not a cottage) was remodelled maintaining its antique island style. All its windows and doors of cedar and pinotea, were bought in antiquarians and demolitions. Noble and antique woods were used for columns, joists, crosspieces, floors. Including its sanitary ware (toilets, bidets, lavatories, towels, racks, ironworks) were obtained from other ancient houses. For the recycling work, all houseware installations were totally replaced (Cold and Heating Water, and Electricity). Most furniture, from red oak are from the nineteenth century, and its faucets are of high quality. All was refurnished imagining the spirit of this house 140 years ago. Like the inhabitants that lived in the Delta so may years ago but with modern comfort. Most furniture have been bought at antique dealers and demolitions or inherited from long time ago. The same for electrical appliances.

The Living is separated form the dining room by anticue double doors. The same for the bedrooms and bathrooms. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, (the main one is in suite). The facilities are for 7/8 people, and crockery and cutlery are prepared for 12 people. The main bedroom has a double sommier, with an anticue dresses and bedside tables. The main bathroom has a cedar dresser, with a bathtub with legs, but new faucets. The other bedroom has an oak dresser and bedside tables and an oak bed with a double sommier. The other bedroom has two oak twin beds. In the living you have a sofa bed. All bedrooms have excellent river or garden views. All rooms are very bright and shiny

The kitchen has two fridges (One is No Frost with Freezer), electrical oven, and an electrical cooktop. You have an electric water heater. Water installation has a presurized pomp. The house is also prepared for Winter, as you have PEISA electrical radiators in all rooms. You two TVs, a DVD, audio equipments, a library with children books, and DVDs, different games, fishing rods, deck chairs, severall tables, a rowing boat, anda ll necessary elements to enjoy Nature surrounded by 350 mts of river coast and 8 hectares of wild vegetation. It is not equipped as a rental cabana or hut but as your own house. You can go for a walk, travel along the fruit trees, eat apples,, oranges, tangerines, plums, pears, quinces, lemons, grapefruits, blacberries, kakis, just taken form the tree. You cannot imagine its sweet and uncomparable flavour, its priceless. OR to eat a fish you have just took form the river. It is an enriching and invaluable experience that you will want to repeat.
